General Accountant
About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled General Accountant to join our dynamic team at Alberto Shoes Corporation' in Quezon City Metro Manila. As a full-time General Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the financial operations and reporting of our company. Your expertise in financial accounting and reporting will be instrumental in supporting the company's strategic objectives and ensuring the integrity of our financial records.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Liaise with internal departments and external auditors to provide financial information and support
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar general accounting role, preferably in the retail or manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting requirements
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
